Lunar #53: Lamont

Lamont is a large ghost crater of 75 km diameter next to Arago in Mare Tranquillitatis. To see this requires the right phase and then other ripples in the mare floor can be confused with the crater walls.

1. The area on 2022-12-12, stacked from 700 video frames taken with a Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector of D = 200 mm and f = 3500 mm and Canon EOS 600Dα camera. Wavelet sharpening. The phase was +80%.
